    Spring Season (Late March – June 2018) part-time

    Educators, urban geographers and storytellers take notice! Walk T.O.’s guides teach students about the city’s eco-prowess, food security, and cultural diversity. You will lead groups of 15-30 elementary, intermediate and senior level GTA students, and their teachers, on our seven city walks.

    Our environmentally and socially-conscious city walks are rooted in the rich stories of Toronto’s people and history. We are seeking a creative, outgoing educational tour guides who love students and have lots of energy.


    • Passion for interacting with students from Grades 5-12
    • College or University degree, teaching background preferred
    • Experience presenting to large groups
    • Ability to memorize lots of material
    • Must be available at least three mornings per week (from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.) from late March to late June. All of our walks are 2 hours long.
    • Reliable and committed to the full season of part-time guiding. Great for freelancers and part-time workers. Please do not apply if you are searching for full-time work.

    Pay: $20 per hour for guiding; plus training paid at minimum wage. Hourly wage increases with seniority.

    As the shifts are just 2-hours long, it is recommended that you live in the downtown core, these guides are our happiest employees, as it allows minimum commuting time.
